Nick Tayler Music

ABOUT

Nick Tayler is not just a rising country music artist—he’s living proof that grit, grace, and God’s purpose can take you places talent alone never could. Born and raised in the heart of Nashville, Tennessee, Nick grew up with country music running through his veins. His childhood was filled with late-night bluegrass jams, front porch harmonies, and Sunday morning hymns. His family’s bluegrass band, Kentucky Sleepy Hollow, even shared stages with legends like Johnny Paycheck, Bill Monroe, Ralph Stanley, and Porter Wagner—a musical legacy that shaped Nick from the very start. For Nick, music isn’t just something he does—it’s who he is.

Born completely deaf in his right ear, Nick faced challenges most singers never have to consider. But rather than see his hearing loss as a setback, he used it as fuel. It sharpened his ear for emotion, made his voice more intentional, and gave him a deeper understanding of the power of a well-told story. His voice—raw, heartfelt, and steeped in truth—carries the weight of someone who has lived every word he sings.

Now based in a small rural town in northern Florida, Nick continues to build his music career from the ground up. You’ll find him playing shows across Florida, Georgia, and Tennessee—at festivals, small-town venues, and local jams with other artists—bringing real music to real people. Whether he’s on stage with his guitar or tucked away in his home studio writing songs late into the night, Nick stays grounded in the reason he started all this in the first place: to inspire, to uplift, and to point others back to the One who gave him his voice.

Nick’s songs are rooted in real life—stories of faith, family, heartache, healing, and hope. He sings about the things that matter: the quiet strength found in small towns, the grace that carries us through hard times, and the beauty of a life lived with purpose. His sound blends classic country with Southern gospel influences, but what sets Nick apart isn’t just his voice—it’s his heart.

A SONGWRITING BOND THAT DEFIES THE ODDS

HENRY AND JANE EVANS USING ASSISTIVE TECHNOLOGY

Nick works closely with songwriters from coast to coast, transforming heartfelt lyrics into powerful melodies. Among Nick’s many creative collaborations, one stands out: his partnership with lyricist Henry Evans—a man who redefined what it means to have a voice.

Henry, once a successful Silicon Valley executive, became mute and quadriplegic after a stroke. But with the help of eye-tracking technology, the unwavering support of his amazing wife Jane, and an unbreakable spirit, he found a way to speak again—through lyrics. Henry communicates by blinking letter by letter, crafting songs filled with raw truth, grace, and emotion.

From their unlikely connection came something extraordinary. Henry’s lyrics speak to the soul. Nick’s voice brings them to life. Together, they’ve built not only a musical collaboration—but a friendship rooted in respect, perseverance, and a shared mission to show that nothing—not disability, not limitations, not circumstance—can define your destiny.

AWARDS AND RECOGNITION

Their songs haven’t just moved listeners—they’ve earned recognition. Nick and Henry’s collaborative work on “Keep It Hometown” won them a finalist position in the Great American Song Contest, proving that when heart meets talent, the industry takes notice. This award is a testament to the strength of their partnership, and the impact of two voices—one sung, one blinked—working in perfect harmony.

A Robotics Activist's Remarkable Crusade

“Twenty-two years ago, Silicon Valley executive Henry Evans had a massive stroke that left him mute and paralyzed from the neck down. But that didn’t prevent him from becoming a leading advocate of adaptive robotic tech to help disabled people – or from writing country songs, one letter at a time. Correspondent John Blackstone talks with Evans about his upbeat attitude and unlikely pursuits.” – CBS SUNDAY MORNING

Henry’s collaborative partner, Nick Tayler, who himself has overcome obstacles in his career as a musician with SSD (single-sided-deafness), communicates with Henry from across the country through assistive technology and the help of Henry’s devoted wife Jane. Together, Evans and Tayler have shown how resilience, technology, and artistry can intersect—proving that even the greatest limitations can’t silence a voice determined to be heard.
